About the ProgramThe Dave Bucciero Soccer Day Camp will focus on technique and having fun! Campers will be placed into groups based on age and ability, with a coach to camper ratio of approximately 8:1. The emphasis will be on technique and some of the technical areas coaches will focus on will include: dribbling, passing, ball control, 1v1 defending, 1v1 attacking, heading, and scoring goals. Every session will end with a small sided game or skills competition and every camper will receive a written evaluation from their coach. At luchtime, campers will go inside to an air-conditioned classroom to enjoy lunch and watch videos. Campers are responsible for bringing their own lunch to camp every day. A typical camp day will look like this: 8:30- 9:00 AM: Check in at field LocationThe Dave Bucciero Soccer Camp will take place at the Tenley Field, on the campus of American University. The field is conveniently located next to several classrooms, where lunch will take place every day. In case of inclement weather, camp will take place indoors on campus. Athletic TrainersThere will be an athletic trainer on site during all sessions to care for all injuries. All campers must have proof of personal medical insurance. In the event of illness or injury requiring treatment, hospitalization, or surgery, family medical insurance must be used.
